September Already??

Well, let's see...the girls LOVE school. They both get off the bus and walk home giggling all the way. Sierra's favorite part is recess and Kayla's is reading. Sierra is improving on her reading skills, unless Kraig is helping her. He tends to get a little impatient. I figure she'll be stealing Kayla's books in no time at all.
Kayla seems to be getting involved in whatever they will allow her to do. She is now the Student Council President and in the Chorus. She says her task for student council is to "organize stuff". Although she is not sure what the "stuff" will be.
This past Sunday we told the parents and youth at the church that we have begun the process for to enter the US Air Force Chaplaincy. Making the news public was like jumping off a cliff. It took awhile for them to understand that it meant we will be leaving in the near future.
Kayla and Sierra are excited about the changes and yet sad to know we are going. Kayla is looking forward to having friends around the world and seeing places she has read about. One of her first questions about the decision was "what/where are the places we could end up living?" Germany seems to have topped her list of places to be sent. However, her main reason for asking was to see if we would be closer to family at times. Sierra on the other hand hasn't quite grasped the fact that we won't live here anymore.
As far as we adults are concerned, we are at peace with the direction God is sending us. Who would have ever thought Kraig and I would run off and join the military!
